The requirements of the service relate to Newcastle City Council and North Tyneside Council and are: The provision of a Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) to receive and sort the mixed collected materials and the transfer of the separately collected and segregated and sorted materials to suitably licensed merchants or re-processors, maximising of income from recyclables. Please note that the indicative contract value provided is an estimate figure based on current anticipated recycle rates. For further clarity the estimated combined disposal tonnage figure is 140 000 tonnes.
