Tender description

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from potential bidders for the contractual provision of commercial waste: Lot 1: Waste Disposal and Tipping Service which shall commence 1.1.2019; and Lot 2: Provision of Skip Services which will commence 1.6.2019. The successful contractor(s) are to provide Housing Maintenance Team (HMT) with tipping facilities to support the day-to-day operation of the Authority and provide a reliable service to the community by receiving waste delivered by Dudley MBC to the contractor(s) as detailed below. The service will provide the receipt, storage (at a suitably licenced waste transfer station/tipping facility) and the transfer off site to either landfill or recycling treatment of builders type waste, builders rubble, garden waste, mattresses and old furniture, hazardous waste (tyres, fridges, gas bottles, paint and chemicals, etc.) which is deposited by Dudley MBC vehicles as detailed in the tender special conditions in accordance with the latest British Standards and EU Regulations or equivalent and HSE guidance. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is inviting tenders from companies wishing to provide Commercial waste disposal and re-cycling service. The disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment, white goods and confidential waste will not form part of this contract. It is envisaged the contract will commence on 1.1.2019 for a period of 3 years with an option to extend the contract period by any number of periods up to an aggregate of twenty four (24) calendar months. Dudley MBC is seeking to enter into contractual relationships with a contractor who can support the Council in providing skips to various locations across the borough. This is a corporate contract, and may be utilised by all divisions of the authority.
