Tender description

Leicester City Council undertook this procurement exercise. The procurement of this service has now concluded and the contract awarded. The visual impairment support and enablement service will provide a visual impairment support and enablement service for Leicester whose aim will be to promote the independence of people with sight loss or who are deafblind and ensure they are supported to lead fulfilling independent lives in the community. In addition to the short description in Section II.1.4, please note the following: the proposed contract will be for an initial period of 3 years to commence on 1.7.2019 with an option to extend, subject to satisfactory performance outcomes and agreement by the Authority, availability of funding beyond 30.6.2022 which is not guaranteed, for a further period or periods up to a total of 24 months, taking the contract term to a maximum of 60 months.
