Tender description

Tees Valley Combined Authority is a partnership of 5 local authorities in North East England which aims to drive economic growth in the region. As part of a new low carbon industrial strategy, TVCA is seeking to catalyse the roll-out of zero emission vehicles and associated infrastructure that will provide environmental and economic development benefits to the region. An early focus of this initiative is to establish a basic network of Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS), as part of a phased approach to creating an expanding hydrogen transport cluster in the North of England. The first phase of the project involves installation of 2 HRS in the area, along with the deployment of a small fleet of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs). TVCA is seeking to appoint a supplier to design, build, install, commission, operate and maintain 2 hydrogen refuelling stations. The operational period will be at least 4 years. To undertake design, build, install, commission, operate and maintain 2 hydrogen refuelling stations. The operational period will be at least 4 years, with an aspiration to extend this and to expand the network as the number of hydrogen-fuelled vehicles increases. The contract will commence late July 2019.
