CP1660-18 Bikeability Cycle Training

Tender description

Devon County Council ("the Council"), under The National Standard for Cycle Training and the Bikeability standard, is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, cycle training provider and registered Bikeability Scheme ('the Contractor') who can offer best and added value and performance to the Council and to the people of Devon. The Contractor shall be required, in the 2019/20 financial year, to deliver training to the new and current National Standard for Cycle Training to 8,839 children and 250 adults who live or study in Devon (excluding those children residing and attending school in the administration boundaries of Plymouth City Council and Torbay Council). Subject to commitment of the Department for Transport to commit to Bikeability post 2020 and further successful funding applications from the Council to the Department for Transport the Council will have the option to extend the contract for further 12 month periods (up to 2022) providing it is satisfied with the performance of the incumbent Contractor's training in the delivery of this contract to the required targets and standards.
