Summary of the work Development of scripted web applications and other solutions for use in a major, secure, cloud based platform using a wide range of open and proprietary technologies. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 3 months initially, with the option to extend up to total of 24 months. Latest start date Tuesday 30 April 2019 Maximum Day Rate £500 per day Who Speclialist Work With The team is embedded with the Analytical community and serves other external departments, but all users are Analysts (Statisticians, Economists, Operational Researchers and Social Researchers) or Data Scientists. What Specialists Work On To develop scripted web applications and other solutions to assist the automation and auto-commissioning of a cloud based platform. Skills & Experience • Evidence of at least 5 years in a coding role - 9 points. • Evidence of PHP coding skills - 9 points. • Evidence of an understanding of database driven web sites - 9 points. • Evidence of an understanding of web site User Interface (UI) design - 9 points. • Evidence of an understanding of CSS driven web sites - 9 points. Nice to Haves • Evidence of SQL coding skills including the use of stored procedures - 3 points. • Evidence of experience with use of MS SQL Server - 3 points. • Evidence of experience with use of PostgreSQL server - 3 points. • Evidence of Python coding skills - 3 points. • Evidence of Powershell coding skills - 3 points. Work Location Westminster, London Working Arrangments On-site 5 days a week. meetings with users and teams in London offices Security Clearance Willing to undergo Security Clearance (SC).
