Tender description

Government seeks a lead partner to develop and deliver a national care transformation prize. The aim of this programme is to engage industry and the public around the future of social care- finding new innovative solutions that drive independence, enable the delivery of high quality care, and help put social care on a sustainable footing. We are looking to support innovative ideas in their route to market, including supporting design, development, testing and scaling. The Department of Health and Social Care plans to release a tender, seeking the services of an experienced delivery partner to design and deliver a new care transformation prize. This procurement is currently at the pre-tender stage, the purpose of which is to engage service providers. We are giving all interested suppliers an opportunity to attend a market engagement day to: — better understand the required business outcomes and advise where the current specification could be strengthened and updated, — discuss the scope of the competition and areas which might be of particular interest, — engage with HMG representatives, — advise how to structure the requirement in order to maximise market interest, innovation and value for money. Given the broad range of requirements outlined above, the delivery partner must have strong market knowledge across industries to generate interest, promote the competition, and target suitable innovators and businesses. They must have strong pre-existing relationships and experience in bringing together consortia to solve challenges in order to have the transformational impact required of this project. The contract is expected to commence in Q1 2019/20 and expire at the end of Q4 2020/21. This notice is for information only and the Department reserves the right to not proceed to tender. Additionally, the Department reserves the right to discontinue the proposed tendering process and not to award the contract. We are inviting interested parties to come to the department to learn more about the scope of the contract, and to discuss their ideas on an informal basis. We are keen to support creative and innovative ideas around how this programme can be successfully delivered.
