Tender description

The works comprise the following to the existing Magee Library building (i) Refurbishment of key public areas internally, and (ii) Recladding and reconfiguration of the rear external façade. This will consist of the following: Refurbishment of key public areas internally ▪ Minor demolition / alteration of existing structure ▪ Strip out and removal of existing finishes ▪ Painting and decoration ▪ New floor finishes ▪ Bespoke joinery (study pods, slatted timber wall panelling) ▪ Adapting existing book shelving to suit new heights and layouts ▪ Electrical modifications - mostly related to the provision / alteration of lighting, power and data ▪ Mechanical works – mostly related to adjustments to existing heating and ventilation Recladding and reconfiguration of the rear external façade ▪ Minor demolitions and alterations to facilitate new façade work ▪ Installation of new aluminium framed curtain wall system, doors, screens and windows ▪ New cladding panels ▪ Parapet works ▪ Replacement of external paving ▪ Minor elements of M&E and making good internal finishes.
