Tender description

Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectroscopy (ToF-SIMS), tool that will provide the Henry Royce Institute (Royce) and the University with an internationally leading SIMS capability. The tool will be used to provide a characterisation service across the broad range of activities within Royce with the exclusion of active nuclear materials. The University of Manchester will be home to a new national research and innovation centre in advanced materials, the Sir Henry Royce Institute (SHRI). The new Institute, supported by industrial partners, will have its Hub in Manchester. The founding partners comprise the Universities of Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, Cambridge, Oxford and Imperial College London, along with National Nuclear Labs (NNL) and the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE).
