Provider Engagement Meeting for Providers of Independent Living, Young People Support Services and Supported Housing

Provider Engagement Meeting, Tuesday 14th May 2019 : 10.00 am – 12.00pm Venue: Central Croydon (a 10 minute walk from East Croydon Station) Croydon Council would like to invite you to attend a meeting of Independent Living, Young People Support Services and Supported Housing providers. The purpose of the meeting is to update you on some of the major changes that are taking place in the commissioning and procurement of our services and to ensure that your organisation receives clarification on how they will impact on what you do, the future contracting opportunities and how we do business together in the future. The meeting will include a briefing on the proposed introduction of a Dynamic Purchasing System 3 (DPS 3) for Independent Living and consultation on the new Service Specification/s. You will have the opportunity to participate on the development of the new service specification/s for the following services: Independent Living includes a range of care and/or support services to people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues, etc. to help them live more independently. This will include services such as 24 hour Supported Living, as well as Floating Support, Outreach and Temporary Accommodation. Young People Support Services includes a range of semi independent accommodation and support services for children looked after and care leaver aged 16 to 25 that enables them preparing for their independence and reaching full potential during their transition to adult life. Supported Housing includes a range of housing support services for vulnerable homeless people including: rough sleepers, young people, care leavers, ex-offenders, homeless families and women fleeing domestic violence and sexual abuse with the intended outcome of preventing or relieving homelessness and enabling adults and young people to live independent and fulfilling lives. [Gateway Services are currently planning a number of market engagement events based on the proposed way forward for the provision of supported housing services for vulnerable single homeless people in 2020-2025. We will update you on the programme for these events. The outcomes from the events will be used to update the Market Position Statement and refresh service specifications]. Following this, we will send an agenda and draft specifications to all organisations responding to this notice, prior to the event. Please book early, as capacity is limited to 200 places.
