Tender description

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has a requirement for a variety of washroom and clinical waste services, at premises across the Greater Manchester area. The current GMP contract for washroom services covers: — provision of washroom items, — collection of clinical waste, and — provision of water and waste-saving products. The contract also includes both regular and ad hoc servicing, call out, replenishment and rental of the washroom items. Before tendering for a new contract for Washroom and Clinical Waste Services, Greater Manchester Police would like to better understand the market for this type of service. A market engagement questionnaire has therefore been issued on the Bluelight e-tendering portal (http://bluelight.eu-supply.com/). Responses to this questionnaire will help refine the specification and assist GMP in making a decision on the most appropriate route to market, including the potential to use an existing public sector procurement framework (such as ESPO or YPO). The current GMP contract for washroom services covers 3 separate areas: — provision of washroom items: including sanitary bins, nappy bins, hand driers, air fresheners, hair driers, vending machines, — collection of clinical waste: including hazardous and non-hazardous sharps, pharmaceutical waste, swabs and dressings, and — provision of water and waste-saving products: including urinal sleeves, water management systems and cistern sanitising systems for urinals. The contract also includes both regular and ad hoc servicing, call out, replenishment and rental of the washroom items. As this is a prior information notice, tender documents have not yet been issued for this contract. All information provided in this PIN, including the total contract value, is the current best estimate and relates to a 5 year contract.
