Integrate a single show control system for all performance related control systems. Show control logic is the use of automation technology to link together and operate multiple control systems in a coordinated manner. It is distinguished from an entertainment control system, which is specific to a single theatrical department, system or effect, one which coordinates elements within a single entertainment discipline such as lighting, sound, video, rigging or special effects. Our productions invariably incorporate entertainment control technology and will benefit from show control to operate these subsystems Independently, simultaneously, or in rapid succession. As our lighting, video and sound systems are currently using advanced control systems, the one major area that has not yet benefited from a computer control system is the stage machinery — with this we should include all aspects of the stage house, flys, lifts, stage floor and also elements that are not currently associated with performance systems; fire curtains, orchestra pit lift, cloth lift, lorry lift, bridges and others. Glyndebourne Productions Ltd requesting expressions of interest from manufacturers to replace all counterweight flying bars and motorised lighting bridges, in addition, to install stage elevators, performer lifts, revolves and stage machinery. As well as create a single show control system for all automation related control systems. Further integration of existing systems is also part of this project.
