Brief Description of Requirement UK Research and Innovation are providing a number of goods and services on behalf of the ESS (European Spallation Source). This tender is for a number of aluminium girder assemblies used to support steering magnets. Requirements of Contract 1 A drawing is attached to this ITQ showing the required dimensions of the girder assembly (Appendix A - Assembly Drawing). 2 Each girder assembly shall be made from extruded aluminium alloy sections. 3 Beams shall be cut to length and ends prepared by the supplier. 4 All specialist fixings shall be provided by the supplier. 5 T nuts shall be provided by the supplier, all shall be M6. 6 All M6 holes shall be anodise free. 7 All spot facing shall be anodise free. 8 A total of 47 girder assemblies are required to be manufactured and assembled to Appendix A. 9 The preferred lead time should be less than 14 weeks for all units.
