Tender description

Humber Field Archaeology (HFA) provides archaeological contracting and consultative services as a self-financing part of Kingston upon Hull City Council. The majority of the work carried out is in response to planning conditions. There are frequent occasions where HFA need to bring in additional specialist archaeological or technical support, in keeping with professional and industry best practice and national heritage and curatorial guidelines. Though this is principally for artefact and palaeoenvironmental work, it is also necessary for archaeological survey and reconnaissance. Such external support forms an essential part of HFA’s work and contributes to their commercial viability. This procurement exercise is for the provision of archaeological geophysical survey services. Keywords: Archaeology, Geophysical, Surveys
