Summary of the work The ability to extract, transform and load (ETL) data and then to visualise that data through good presentation (graphics) skills using MS Excel: •Visual Basic FOR Application (VBA) •ETL skills for CSV and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) based data •Advanced Excel •Experience of producing management information dashboards for senior staff Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date Monday 29 April 2019 Maximum Day Rate Maximum of £1000 per day - outside IR35. Who Speclialist Work With Working within a technical project team whilst interacting closely with end users. Will be extracting and presenting data on a daily reporting basis. The role will report into senior client stakeholders Manage.r What Specialists Work On The extraction, transformation and loading of data which is then to be presented on a dashboard. Skills & Experience • • Visual Basic FOR Application (VBA) • • ETL skills for CSV and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) based data • • Advanced Excel • • Experience of producing management information dashboards for senior staff • • Be SC or SC Clearable Nice to Haves • ETL skills for JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) based data Work Location Metro Point, 49 Sydenham Road, Croydon, CR0 2EU Working Arrangments Predominantly working onsite in Croydon, however the expectation is that some travel is required to meet with end users. Is there an incumbent in this position? No 2. Can the authority confirm if an incumbent is currently in this role, and if they will be invited to apply via DOS ? There is no current incumbent. 3. Could the Authority please confirm which area/department of the Home Office this requirement sits in? This requirement sits within Digital Data and Technology. 4. Could you please confirm if you would SC the candidate or would the candidate have to already be SC? The candidate would need to hold SC or be SC Clearable.To be SC Clearable the individual must have:• A UK passport or ‘Indefinite Leave To Remain’• Resided in the UK for at least 5 years• In the 5 years residence - not to have been out of the country for more than a continuous 6 month period.The Home Office would carry out the clearance if not already held, which would take several weeks. 5. Can the candidate start while SC clearance is progressed or would this delay a start date? SC clearance would need to be in place before the candidate could start. 6. There is repetition with respect to ETL for JSON based data in question 2 and question 6. Is this an error? Should question 2 be just for CSV?Could you please clarify. then I will ensure that CSV is dealt with in question 2 and JSON is dealt with in both. Apologies this is an error. It should state ETL for CSV as mandatory and ETL skills for JSON as desirable. 7. Would the client complete the SC clearance on behalf of the candidate? The client would submit the clearance forms following completion by the candidate. 8. Do you know if the role is inside/outside IR35? As mentioned in the day rate section, the role is outside IR35.
