Tender description

The Army Museums Ogilby Trust (AMOT) is seeking proposals for the provision of a Digital Collection Management (DCM) platform The Army Museum Ogilby Trust (“AMOT”) is working with a network of army museums and collections in order to digitise their collections to allow wider access to the materials (“Digitisation”). AMOT is seeking proposals for the provision of a Digital Collection Management (“DCM”) system in order to facilitate that Digitisation exercise, and a platform that will host the captured material, whether it be photographs, documents, audio recordings, video or archive material which have been captured digitally (“Hosting”). Initially AMOT intends to progress and support the Hosting and Digitisation of World War 1 materials held by the museums and collections. It is expected that the DCM will be sufficiently scalable and flexible to incorporate other materials held by the museums and collections should AMOT wish to expand the initiative in the future. In addition to the Hosting and Digitisation of materials, AMOT is also seeking proposals on future options for generating revenues via e-commerce from the data that is held on the archive platform (“E-Commerce”). The initial term of the contract is for five (5) years, after which the contract will continue on a rolling annual basis up to a further five (5) years. The maximum term of the contract is therefore 10 years. Interested Suppliers should note that this is a voluntary exercise in line with OJEU procurement requirements following the Negotiated procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (“PCR 2015”). The procurement of the contract by AMOT in line with the PCR 2015 does not change the status of AMOT, which is and remains not a body caught by the Public Directive 2014/24/EU or PCR 2015. All dates and times set out in this Contract Notice are estimated and subject to change. AMOT will update those organisations involved in the procurement if and when any changes to dates and times occur.
