Tender description

Framework agreements: — lot A — asbestos services — sampling and analysis of airbourne asbestos; inspections and surveys; bulk ID; paint surveying and sampling for lead; Scanned Electron Microscopy (SEM) services, — lot B — scientific services — covering other services such as workplace air monitoring, ventilation surveys, noise and vibration monitoring, gas diesel exhaust, water quality, PCB sampling, slip resistance. 1) Please complete and submit the Selection Questionnaire (parts 1, 2 and 3). This shall be used in order to select bidders for the tender stage (those with the highest combined General and Technical scores will be shortlisted); 2) It is envisaged that no more than 5 suppliers will be appointed to lot A and no more than 4 to Lot B. Bidders shall be selected on the basis of their ranked tender evaluation score. A periodic indicative notice was previously issued on 25.9.2018. Est total value (34 000 000 GBP) is based on a max. term of 6 years (3 + 3) and includes both lots. Lot A — asbestos services — sampling and analysis of airbourne asbestos; inspections and surveys; bulk ID; paint surveying and sampling for lead; Scanned Electron Microscopy (SEM) services. — planned work — awarded under the frameworks following mini competitions or direct awards for low value requirements, — reactive work including emergency on site attendance — to be included. A primary provider of emergency responses shall be selected under a mini competition at the outset of the framework term. Est value of this lot over a max 6-year term: between 27 400 000 GBP and 30 900 000 GBP. Scientific services; covering other services such as workplace air monitoring, ventilation surveys, noise and vibration monitoring, gas and diesel exhaust monitoring, water quality — and PCB sampling, slip resistance, soil/ballast/shingle sampling and analysis, concrete coring and testing. Est value of this lot over a max 6-year term: between 3 400 000 GBP and 6 900 000 GBP.
