Tender description

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust (“the Trust”) is currently seeking to engage with suppliers of Sexual Health Products as part of an initial market engagement exercise. The products shall include (but not restricted to the following): — Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) Devices and Associated Procedure Packs, — Contraceptive Diaghragms, — Contraceptive Gel and Lubricants, — Uterine Sound Dilators, — Vaginal Speculum, — Vaginal Wall Retractors, — Thread Retrievers, — Condoms. The outcome and feedback from this exercise will determine the preferred procurement route, this may involve undertaking a Full EU Procurement exercise, utilisation of a public Framework Agreement and/or both. As part of our commissioning arrangements for Sexual Health Services through the Trust's Umbrella brand name, we are currently reviewing the ordering, payment and receipt of these products to minimise transaction costs and optimise the supply chain.
