Central-heating installation work

Tender description

Dover District Council (and on behalf of Canterbury City Council, Folkestone and Hythe District Council and Thanet District Council) is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for heating systems servicing, maintenance and inspections with installation works. Management of the Councils social housing stock is delegated to East Kent Housing Ltd (EKH) an arms length management organisation (ALMO) set up and owned by Canterbury City Council, Dover District Council, Folkestone and Hythe District Council and Thanet District Council, to manage their respective social housing services. The successful contractor will work directly to and with East Kent Housing in the delivery of the contract. Completed tender responses must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk by no later than 13:00 on Wednesday 8.5.2019. Dover District Council for the purpose of this procurement process is undertaking a joint procurement with Canterbury City Council, Folkestone and Hythe District Council and Thanet District Council. It is the intention to appoint only one contractor to undertake the services in their entirety for the Councils. Contracting arrangements will be direct with each of the individual Councils resulting in individual contracts being entered into between the successful supplier and each of the Councils for subsequent use by EKH acting on behalf of these Councils within their respective areas of operation.
