Tender description

The redevelopment of the site at Loadman Street has been a key priority for the Council for a number of years. The Council has now been successful in receiving grant funding from the Homes England Accelerated Construction Fund to undertake groundworks to enable the site to be brought forward by a developer. Due to current levels and retaining structures on the site which are unsuitable for residential development, there is a need to refine and remodel the site. The proposal is therefore regrading and replacement of existing retaining structures to create levels which will be appropriate to bring forward suitable development. The Council have submitted a planning application 2019/0401/01/GRB in relation to these works. The intention is for the Council to undertake these works prior to disposal of the site for development. In order to meet these requirements, the Authority is inviting expressions of interest from eligible contractors able and suitable to undertake these works. The Authority are carrying out the procurement of this Contract as a single stage tender. This means that the Authority will invite all interested parties to tender.
