The Staffordshire University Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust which currently consists first, primary and secondary schools across Staffordshire and the Trust head offices are based in Stone, Staffordshire. SUAT has approximately 3,300 pupils and employs over 500 members of staff; more details on the individual schools may be found by accessing the Trust website - www.suatrust.co.uk. SUAT promotes high aspirations and excellence for all. Our aim is to develop a strong partnership between the academies, pupils, and the wider community in order to secure an outstanding learning experience for everyone. We have high expectations and strive to create independent learners fit for the demands of the 21st Century. Quality facilities management in each of our academies is key in sustaining the learning and working environments of our pupils and staff and supports better outcomes for all. SUAT therefore requires a school meal service that provides healthy, balanced meal options. We believe that there is a link between a healthy diet and the ability to learn effectively, and therefore, we require this important element of the school day to benefit our pupils as much as possible. We want every child or parent to be able to choose, and be provided with, their preferred meal. We also want every child to enjoy their meal in a well prepared and safe dining environment. We understand the schools have a responsibility to promote and encourage healthy eating and we require a caterer to work with our academies on developing this further. It is very important that the service delivers both value for money as well as high standards in procurement, production and customer care. The Staffordshire University Academies Trust is seeking to procure catering services on behalf of seven schools in the Staffordshire area. The purpose of this tender notice is to inform potential suppliers about SUAT requirements for the supply of catering services and offer managed service providers the opportunity to apply. Suppliers who would like to register their interest in bidding for the contract should do so by contacting hkirkham@suatrust.co.uk, and provide a name and email contact details for the supplier's designated point of contact, for SUAT to make contact accordingly.
