Single Party Framework Agreement to support BIM with the implementation of a Quality Assurance System (‘QAS’) for BIM Seafood Industry Training

BIM, as part of a re-engagement process for training providers with Qualifications and Quality Ireland (QQI), is currently developing a new Quality Assurance System (QAS) to Core Statutory Quality Assurance Guidelines under the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act, 2012. All training providers, including BIM, offering programmes leading to awards in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) form part of the national education and training system. This system is underpinned by quality assurance, which seeks to provide public trust and confidence in the education and training delivered and the resulting qualifications obtained by learners. All training providers have an obligation to uphold the quality of the education and training offering. QQI is responsible for the external quality assurance of BIM training. BIM’s Training Strategy 2018 to 2020 looks to provide Skills Development Services that will deliver a structured career path through the provision of accredited learning. To deliver on the strategic objectives and provide quality assured training services BIM proposes a Single Party Framework Agreement with an external supplier to support BIM’s Skills Development Division with the delivery and implementation of a new Quality Assurance System. Tenders are invited to quote for project management of the implementation, to be undertaken in close collaboration with BIM.
