Tender description

The service required is for the collection and recycling of the specified contract waste to divert the waste from landfill. The contractor will be required to provide suitable containers for the storage and collection of the contract waste in addition to regular collections and a recycling service for the contract waste. The contractor will be required to meet the standards of the specification of requirements as a minimum. “Recycling” means any recovery operation by which waste materials are reprocessed into products, materials or substances whether for the original or other purposes. Contract waste will comprise of mixed metals (both ferrous and non-ferrous), EWC Code 20 01 40. The contract is for (a) the collection and recycling of the specified contract waste and (b) to collect data and produce reports detailing the quantity of contract waste collected and the final/end destinations of all outputs.
