Tender description

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) wish to carry out pre-market engagement with interested organisations to investigate the current market capabilities and gain knowledge and feedback about the EA’s intention to establish a framework panel of suitably qualified and experienced organisations to deliver on “The Design, Supply and Installation of Outdoor Playground Equipment including safety surfacing for the Education Authority”. Information provided may assist the Education Authority (EA) with the development of the tender documentation. This will ensure existing and future requirements are met. This event will also provide interested suppliers with information on the tender requirements, giving them additional time to prepare for the tender opportunity. The pre-market engagement meeting will be held on Wednesday 17.4.2019 in Antrim Board Centre. The pre-market engagement meeting will be held on Wednesday 17.4.2019 in Antrim Board Centre. Suppliers must arrive at 11:00 a.m. with the pre-market engagement beginning at 11:30 a.m. and concluding around 1:00 p.m. Should you wish to participate you must e-mail procurement@eani.org.uk with the subject “CAT-18-011 Supplier Event” no later than 12:00 noon Friday 12.4.2019. Your email should include the names of the representatives wishing to attend (maximum 2) and the name of your organisation. The format of the meeting will include the delivery of a presentation by the EA to all suppliers present. This will be followed by Q&A’s. All suppliers will have an opportunity (if required) to have one-to-one discussion with EA staff. The presentation will be delivered by members of the EA Construction team and the EA Procurement team. The focus of the presentation will be on the general requirements and the procurement process to be followed. Suppliers will be advised of what is required from them to be successfully placed on framework. Suppliers will also be informed of the process for managing secondary competitions which result in the awarding of contracts. Suppliers will be informed of the final arrangements prior to the pre-market engagement event. Please note that the date is subject to change and the EA reserves the right to arrange additional engagement meetings with suppliers if required. This pre-market engagement event is for information purposes only. Any interest shown does not constitute a commitment to participate in the tender process. Failure to show interest by not attending the event will not exclude any supplier from competing to be placed on framework at the time of tender.
