Greater Manchester Local Full Fibre Network Programme

Tender description

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority through Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are administering and issuing this procurement on behalf of the Contracting Authority(s). The Contracting Authority(s) are seeking to appoint a service provider to each Lot for the design, installation, support and maintenance of dark fibre connectivity, or virtual equivalent circuits; for public sector assets and sites on a long-term basis of at least 20 years. Two (2) framework agreements will be awarded as Lots and will be Lot 1 for the Northern Arc locality (Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, inc Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Services and TfGM assets); and for Lot 2 for the Southern Arc locality (Stockport, Manchester, Trafford and Salford, inc GM F&RS and TfGM assets). At the same time, confirmed contracts will be entered into between the Supplier(s) for each of the Contracting Authority(s) named above, for the connection of over 1,300 public sector sites, buildings and assets across all localities. The Framework Authority (who will be the Greater Manchester Combined Authority), reserves the right to include the requirements of other public sector users during this procurement, including Tameside, neighbouring Local Authorities, North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, GM Police and NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups. The infrastructure will be delivered using funding from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport through its LFFN Programme Wave 2; and supported by Contracting Authority(s) contribution.
