Tender description

The proposed procurement is for a novel piece of research will inform the design, in the latter half of 2019, of a policy of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). It will explore the logistics of two possible approaches to making producers more responsible for the packaging they place on the market. Specifically the two operating models are a refundable deposit system, and the charging of 'Placed-on-Market' fees by a single Producer Responsibility Organisation.
