Supply of IP65 Dual USB Sockets

Iarnród Éireann have a requirement for the supply of approximately 6,500 dual USB sockets. The dual sockets will be to IP65 and will conform to EN50155 (Railways Applications Electronic Equipment Used on Rolling Stock) and EN50121-3-2 (Railway applications. Electromagnetic compatibility. Rolling Stock Apparatus). The sockets will be front mounted and will be required to be capable of being installed within a limited clearance of 40mm. The sockets will be durable and aesthetically pleasing offering the user a safe means of charging personal devices. The sockets will be required to operate on a variable input voltage of 9-32v DC and have an output of 5V 3.0A. The sockets will have self-resetting and automatic short circuit protection as well as having adequate protection for over-current, over-heating, over-voltage and under-voltage as standard. The sockets will also have an output indicator to signal the operating status of the device.
