Type of engagement: DFID intends to carry out a supplier engagement event to provide information and seek feedback on the programme requirement below. The programme is in final stages of Request for Proposal (RFP) formulation and the aim of this event is to inform the market of the upcoming opportunity and to solicit feedback ahead of the finalisation of documents. It is envisaged that this will be an interactive session which will feed into the final design and RFP process. Event will take place on 10.4.2019 at British High Commission, New Delhi with option to dial in. Deadline for registration 8.4.2019 (noon local time). Value below is across both programmes and may be subject to final variance. Project purpose: DFID India is proposing to invest development capital in a small number of early stage impact funds (“Investee Funds”) under 2 of its DFID India Development Capital Investment (referred to as DCI programmes). DFID will hold an Early Market Engagement (EME) event to explore market appetite and insights into the current proposals. The 2 programmes for which the Early Market Engagement (EME) is being held are: — UK-India Fast Track Start-up Fund (“Start-up” programme), — INVENT. Investment fund managers play an important role in ensuring effective delivery of DFID India’s DCI portfolio — thus supporting its objectives of delivering development benefits in India and returns/benefits to UK tax payers. This document sets out the background, current key investment thesis and broad selection parameters under both the programmes intended to be used to select the Investee Funds.
