Build and hosting of Choose How You Move website

Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council are joint “owners” of the Choose How You Move brand under which both parties travel related activities are publicised These activities include the provision and promotion of sustainable travel, active travel, public transport, events and other relevant features such as journey planning tools. Central to the provision and promotion of, these travel related activities is a website currently functioning under the domain name of www.choosehowyoumove.co.uk. Between January 2017 and October 2018 this website attracted 128,773 users viewing 744,969 pages. This website is for public use and provides the opportunity for a “one stop shop” for users to glean information on all forms of travel within Leicestershire and Leicester. The new website will also feature more information on events and activities that involve active travel, physical activity and wellbeing The website is hosted externally to allow both “owners” to update and refresh content when required. A procurement process is being undertaken to gather quotes for the design, build and hosting of a new site using the same domain name and featuring much of the existing content as well as refreshing and significantly updating the functionality compared to the current site.
