The play area shall be designed and installed to comply with all relevant current legislation, including BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177. As the Site already contains paths and play equipment the proposal are to install new pathways, and seating areas as per drawing H100/8-202, to provide an accessible and inclusive play area. The play zones A-D will need to include equipment and appropriate surfacing and layout that conform to the 10 design principles as described by Play England for the creation of Successful Play Spaces the key considerations the submission shall address include a play space that is; - designed for the site - well located - makes use of natural elements - provides a wide range of play opportunities - is accessible to both disabled and non-disabled children - meets community needs (summary of consultations is included in section d). - can be used flexibly - has opportunities to experience risk and challenge
