WP3500 - Annual Safety Inspections of Outdoor Chidren's Playgrounds, Multi Use Games Areas, Skate Parks, Outdoor Fitness Equioment and Splash Play Areas

Walsall Council is seeking a suitably qualified, resourced and experienced contractor for the annual safety inspections of outdoor children's playgrounds, multi-use games areas, skate parks, outdoor fitness equipment and splash play areas. The annual safety inspections are required to be completed each July for a period of 3 years (2019 - 2021). The requirement is to inspect and record through Public Sector Software (PSS): o 59 outdoor play areas. o 31 multi-use games areas (MUGA's) 27 on or connected to Play Area sites/other facilities, and 4 standalone sites. o 10 skate facilities (9 on or connected to Play Area sites/other facilities, and 1 standalone site) o 21 outdoor fitness areas/trim trails (20 on or connected to Play Area sites/other facilities and 1 standalone site) o 3 splash play facilities (all on Play Area sites) A complete list of locations and mapping information can be found attached as WP3500 Play Area Locations - Appendix 1.
