Tender description

The Isle of Anglesey County Council (the “Council”) is currently considering its procurement strategy for a contract for waste collection and cleansing services which is anticipated to commence on 1.4.2021 (the “Contract”). This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to notify the market of the Council’s plans to conduct market engagement activities to assist the Council in planning its procurement strategy for the Contract. The market engagement activities are intended to provide information to, and seek feedback from, potential suppliers in relation to any potential future procurement. These market engagement activities will include: — seeking written responses to a market engagement questionnaire, and — holding one to one meetings with potential suppliers (dates to be agreed) to discuss feedback from the engagement questionnaires (optional activity). The Council’s current waste collection and cleansing contract ends on 31.3.2021. The new contract will include residual waste collection, dry recycling collection, food waste collection, green garden waste collection, bulky waste collection, non-infectious hygiene waste collection, waste container delivery/collection, street and beach cleansing, litter bin emptying and fly-tip removal. The Council is seeking the views of potential suppliers on several areas in relation to the new contract including the proposed procurement strategy, contract term, contract structure, financing models, service delivery options, in-cab technology options, procurement timetable, communication systems and vehicle ordering lead times.
