Tender description

Medway Council requires an interim provision for the bulking, haulage and disposal of 2 kerbside recyclable material streams. Material stream 1: co-mingled paper, cardboard, metal cans (including aerosols), clean foil, plastic carrier bags, plastic packaging (bottles, pots, tubs, trays, cartons) and glass. This material will be delivered to the transfer station loose or in single use plastic bags. Material stream 2: separately collected paper and card. This material will be delivered to the transfer station loose. The same provision will include the transfer and haulage of kerbside co-mingled garden and food waste. The same provision will also include the bulking, haulage and disposal of bring site recyclable materials to include: glass, paper and card. This will be delivered to the transfer station loose. For the rationale outlined within Annex D Medway Council has conducted a Negotiated Procedure without prior competition.
