North Lanarkshire Council (the “Council”) intend to establish a framework for the provision of early learning and childcare services for eligible 2 years old, and pre-school children 3-5 years old. Bids are invited for any 1 of the following 4 options: — funded placements of eligible 2 years old for 600 hours, — funded placements of eligible 2 years for 1 140 hours, — funded placements of pre-school 3-5 years old for 1140 hours; or — funded placements of eligible 2 years for 1140 hours and pre-school 3-5 years old for 1140 hours. The following information is intended as an overview. The framework is to support the Council meet its obligation to meet each child (eligible 2 years old and pre-school 3-5 years old) statutory entitlement to an early learning and childcare placement. Candidate seeking appointment to the framework can bid for 1 of 4 options: — funded placements of eligible 2 years old for 600 hours, — funded placements of eligible 2 years for 1 140 hours, — funded placements of pre-school 3-5 years old for 1140 hours, or — funded placements of eligible 2 years for 1140 hours AND pre-school 3-5 years old for 1 140 hours. Candidates seeking appointment to the framework for more than 1 setting will be required to submit an individual tender for each setting, i.e. candidate has 2 nurseries within the North Lanarkshire geographic area and seeks appointment to the framework for both; this candidate should submit a tender for each individual nursery.
