Physiotherapy and Occupational Health products including: splinting, therapy (i.e. therapeutic putty, resistive exercise bands, hand exercisers, massage) consumables, electrotherapy, acupuncture, educational models and posters, tapes and strapping specific for physiotherapy, rehabilitation supplies (i.e. balance products, exercise mats and balls, weights, hydrotherapy), pelvic health, CPM machines, assessment devices (excluding hammers and percussors), sound wave therapy and spinal therapy and hot and cold therapy products. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 2 000 000 GBP to 3 000 000 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Estimated value over the maximum Framework Agreement term (4 years) will be in the region of 8 000 000 GBP to 12 000 000 GBP. Lot 1: Acupuncture This Lot is for acupuncture products including but not limited to acupuncture needles – specifically designed for acupuncture and intended for insertion into the skin of the patient to stimulate acupuncture points, smokeless moxa – dried mugwort for use in moxibustion, acupuncture ear seeds – hard plant seeds or inert beads/studs used for auricular therapy. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £65,000 to £75,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 2: CPM Machines CPM Machines. (Continuous Passive Motion) This Lot is for CPM machines intended to assist rehabilitation following a surgical procedure or trauma and designed to provide continuous movement of a patient’s joints and limbs within a controlled range. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Product Lines within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £10,000 to £20,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 3: Educational Aids This Lot is for educational aids and anatomical models intended to help increase patient awareness and help clinicians demonstrate medical procedures and processes. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £5,000 to £10,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 4: Electrotherapy This Lot is for electrotherapy products including ultrasound therapy, shock and shortwave units as well as associated accessories including probes, electrodes and lead wires. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £55,000 to £65,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 5: General Therapy & Exercise This Lot is for a full range of general therapy and exercise products including hand exercisers, resistive bands, gym balls and associated consumables used in co-ordination and exercise games. It also includes products that enable the measurement of limb movement and muscle contraction. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £1,200,000 to £2,000,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 6: Temperature Therapy Products This Lot is for products that offer temperature therapy via hot or cold Compression and also includes wax baths and ice machines for use in a physiotherapy environment. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £570,000 to £700,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 7: Massage Products This Lot is for a full range of massage products that enable controlled Pressure to be applied to the body of the patient both manually and mechanically. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £10,000 to £20,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 8: Posture and Balance This Lot is for products used to help patients develop correct posture and balance and provide support for sleeping and sitting including inflatable cushions, ulcer cushions, wedge cushions and memory foam pillows. It also includes products designed to analyse the gait of patient as they walk and measure their level of balance. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £5,000 to £10,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 9: Splinting Products This Lot is for products used to make splints including low temperature thermoplastics in order to provide joint support and immobilisation as required by the patient. This lot also includes accessories used to make dynamic splints that can allow controlled movement whilst still providing support to the joint. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £5,000 to £10,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot 10: Tapes, Strapping and Associated Products This Lot is for tapes, strapping and associated products for taping muscle groups or wrapping around limbs to provide muscle support and aid recovery. Applicants may tender for one, more than one, or all of the Goods within this Lot. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £75,000 to £90,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement.
