Tender description
Provision, installation and maintenance of Nurse Call systems and associated accessories across Sanctuary Group's (the Group) estate. The Group has properties throughout England and Scotland. The Group plans to gradually install 1 standard nurse call system, i.e. the same manufacturer, where required across its estate. This equates to circa 120 care homes and supported living properties. Servicing and maintenance of existing nurse call systems is also included in the contract. The agreement that results from this tender exercise will be for a period of 5 years to cover the Group’s needs. There will be the option to extend for a further 4 years in 2 year slots. This contract will include the following: — supply of nurse call equipment, — installation of new systems, — maintenance of new systems, — maintenance of legacy systems (including the maintenance of legacy pagers, including bluebell pagers), — reactive call outs for new and legacy systems, — purchase of accessories (pagers and any additional add on’s). Nurse call systems are currently utilised by the Group in residential, nursing and mixed-occupancy homes. There are a number of legacy nurse call systems, from various manufacturers, installed across the Estate. There will be two approaches taken in regards to these systems. Around 22 of the existing systems will require a 12 monthly maintenance programme with a fixed annual fee to include any necessary call outs. The remaining nurse call systems will not require annual maintenance but will need reactive call outs as and when required. Seperately to this bluebell pagers are currently being utilised and need maintaining and repairing. The contract requires a national 4 hour call out response in an emergency and a standard response time of 24 hours. Product specification requirements are detailed in the response document. In summary the Group require: — an open protocol system that can be utilised with accessories from any manufacturer, — ease of utilisation from the residents’ perspective — features and installation, — ease of adaptation and utilisation from a site perspective — integrity of system, robustness, ability to set zones, silent alarms, — compatibility with pagers, — comprehensive reporting and data storage capability, — operation and control locally i.e. via the individual site.
