Tender description

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Community Safety Unit is seeking the provision of additional community safety resources (the “Service”) to support its in-house Community Safety Patrol. The length of the call-off contract is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further year (subject to available funding in year 2 onwards). The additional Community Safety patrol will be required to undertake high viz patrols predominately in Southend’s town centre and seafront during high footfall days as well as key events. It is envisaged that the Council will set up a call-off contract. The Council’s budget for this provision for the first 12 months is 100 000 GBP and therefore subsequent years will be subject to available funding. The service will be expected to be available for 365 days per year (which includes evenings). The successful tenderer will have the capacity and expertise to offer a quality customer service for the provision of additional community safety resources. Experience in the field of security is paramount and it is essential that the service is delivered by a Provider who currently has the Security Industry Association (SIA) Business Licence accreditation. The successful tenderer will have a proven track record in the security industry.
