Tender description

Integrated Healthcare at Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre and Oakhill Secure Training Centre on behalf of NHS England – East Midlands. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England – East Midlands is carrying out a market assessment for the provision of integrated healthcare at Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre and Oakhill Secure Training Centre. For this service provision, NHS England would like to encourage innovative solutions including strategic alliances which will deliver value for money and improved services to patients. The service provider(s) will be required to deliver an outcome based high quality and integrated service, as detailed in the draft specification available on the EU supply system, along with a market engagement questionnaire. Rainsbrook and Oakhill are purpose built secure centres for young people who meet the criteria for a custodial sentence/remand. Both centres require an integrated healthcare service which consists of and limited to health promotion, mental health service to include primary care and secondary care, outpatients, GP, nurses, dentist, integrated substance misuse services, infectious diseases and pharmacy. The procurement may be split into 2 Lots, with a final decision to be made once the commissioner has received feedback from the market. The current intension is to split the service into 2 lots as follows: Lot 1: Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre; Lot 2: Oakhill Secure Training Centre. This service is expected to be fully operational by 1.4.2020. Indicative funding (pending approval and further analysis) available for the services is 1 800 000 GBP per lot p.a. NHS England aims to offer a contract opportunity for a 3 years with the option to extend on an annual basis for a maximum of one further year. (i.e. 3+1), subject to market feedback and internal approval. This opportunity is subject to the will of parliament/legislation change. The aim of the market engagement exercise is to inform potential providers on the opportunity and to assist the commissioner in deciding on the most appropriate strategy for the future procurement. Any submitted response to this PIN notice will not automatically entitle your involvement in any future procurement exercise.
