Tender description

Leicester City Council (the Authority) are seeking to pre-engage with the supported living provider market and share its initial draft proposals around the future purchasing of supported living services in the city of Leicester. The Authority will use the feedback and responses from the market engagement events to help finalise its delivery models and specifications. Therefore, at this stage, the market engagement events are not part of any formal procurement process and therefore is not a call for competition. The formal procurement process is anticipated to commence later in 2019. Participation or non-participation in the market engagement events will not prevent any provider from participating in any future procurement process, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of these discussions will place any provider at an advantage in a potential procurement process. In addition to the II.1.4 Short Description please note the following: Supported living services relate to the provision of both care and housing related support. Providers are not expected to source any accommodation for the service users. The supported living services will be provided for people with disabilities who live in a variety of settings (for example, shared rented or owned accommodation, individual rented accommodation, owner occupied property, extra care schemes or live with family carers or friends). The Authority is holding two market engagement events. Further details regarding these events is available as described in I.3 Communication above. The same two identical events are being repeated. Please feel free to attend, with prior booking request, any event which you are interested in or both the events. To book a place at this event please e-mail procurement-asc@leicester.gov.uk with the email Subject heading: SL ME Event. Please quote the Market Engagement Event Number; the date; the time of the event you would like to attend, together with the name of the attendee, their job title, and the name of their provider/organisation. A maximum of 2 places per organisation is available. Places are limited and will therefore will be allocated on a first email request basis. Upon receipt of your email you will receive confirmation back from the Authority that your place is reserved. Please do not attend the event if you have not received this confirmation back from the Authority. Once your place has been confirmed and you are then unable to attend, then please let the Authority know so that your place can be allocated to somebody else on the reserve list.
