Framework for Print and electronic journal subscriptions for the HRB Library

Tender description

The Health Research Board (HRB) is the lead agency in Ireland supporting and funding health research. We provide funding, maintain health information systems and conduct research linked to national health priorities. Our aim is to improve people's health, build health research capacity and make a significant contribution to Ireland's knowledge economy. Our latest Corporate Strategy clearly outlines how we hope to achieve this working in partnership with other organizations. The HRB National Drugs Library subscribes to 21 print and/or electronic journals in the alcohol and drugs field which comprise an important part of the HRB National Drug Library collection. The maintenance of this collection is essential if the HRB National Drugs Library is to function effectively as a special research library. The HRB National Drugs Library is the only library in the country with a special collection in this subject area. In addition, journals focused on broad health topics, such as the BMJ, NEJM and Lancet, support the work of the Evidence Review team in the Evidence Centre.
