Design Team for Upgrade of Infrastructure and Facilities at Rossmore Forest Park, Monaghan

Tender description

Monaghan County Council intends to appoint a Design Team to provide designs for infrastructural and facility improvements in Rossmore Forest Park, Co Monaghan. There have been a number of recreational developments in the park in the last 2 year and as a result of all of these developments, Monaghan County Council is now conscious of the need for the following: • Upgrading works to the access road and car park so as to service a large increase in visitors to the park • Development of other recreational aspects in the park to attract more regional/national and overseas visitors • Interpretation at key heritage sites in the park to tie in with the Ireland’s Ancient East destination brand The Design Team shall consist of suitably qualified personnel who must have experience in the following areas: - (1) Park Design (2) Landscape Architecture (3) Quantity Surveying (4) Civil/Structural Engineering Where a team is made up of a number of consultancy firms, one firm shall be designated as the lead consultancy and this firm shall take full responsibility for delivering the project. It is envisaged that initially, the successful Design Team will be appointed by the Council to bring the project element to fully worked up design and specification stage. At this point the designs and performance specifications will be tendered to contractor(s) through an EU restricted procurement procedure which will also be overseen and managed by the Design Team. Contract supervision will also be required.
