1260 Request for Quotation for the provision of the Development of Electronics for a Therapeutic Medical Device

De Montfort University (DMU) invites bids from suitably experienced providers for the development of a biopsy device, the key aspects of the requirement being: 1.Development of Electrode Band containing 12 electrodes to administer an electrical signal (similar to that generated by a tens machine) to a patient. 2.Development of control unit with visual display unit, providing a user interface for the device. Audio instruction and voice control will also be required in addition to any visual interface. The unit should be WIFI enabled with capability for mobile data connection. 3.Software/App to facilitate the user interface, to log data and give feedback. 4.A means of powering (and/or changing) the control unit and the electrode band. Throughout this programme the contractor will be an extension of Impacting Business by Design (IBbD) Ltd but will be managed by a IBbD member throughout the design process.
