Tender description

Lot 1: To fulfil pre-planned requirements as specified by the Council’s Highways and Transportation and Social Services departments only. Lot 2: To fulfil ad hoc or emergency requirements where the use of Lot 1 would not be practical. Education and social services only: — to fulfil pre-planned requirements as specified by the Council’s Highways and transportation and social services departments only, — contracts for a maximum 4 year term, — no minimum contract term, — although contracts will be pre-planned, they may be to fulfil short term requirements which may be limited to a single one-way journey, — individual single or return journeys, — journeys may be at any time of day or night, — journeys may be on any day, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and all other public holidays. Journeys may be between locations: within the City and County of Swansea; or within the City and County of Swansea and outside the City and County of Swansea and vice versa; or outside the City and County of Swansea. Services may be required at short notice. Corporate (including education, social services and European Office): — to fulfil ad-hoc or emergency requirements where the use of Lot 1 would not be practical, — contracts for a maximum three week term, — no minimum contract term, — although the majority of contracts awarded under Lot 2 will be to fulfil requirements arising within education, social services and the European Office, contracts may be awarded to fulfil any requirements arising across the Council, — individual single or return journeys, — journeys may be at any time of day or night, — journeys may be on any day, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and all other public holidays. Journeys may be between locations: within the City and County of Swansea; or within the City and County of Swansea and outside the City and County of Swansea and vice versa; or outside the City and County of Swansea.
