Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) invited bids from licensed waste treatment provider(s) who can provide a scheduled waste collection service to schools across the Borough of Rotherham and surrounding areas. Waste types will include cardboard, food waste and non-hazardous waste. Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) in conjunction with schools was seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide a scheduled collection of cardboard waste and non-hazardous industrial (general) waste from schools across the borough of Rotherham and its surrounding areas. The services shall include and accommodate the following: — the supply of 1100L bins for use throughout the term of the contract, — collection schedule (additional collections may be required on an ad-hoc basis), — fixed and firm costs throughout the term of the agreement. Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) in conjunction with schools was seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to minimise any food waste that may be going to landfill sites, the preferred option is to utilise the waste stream in a more sustainable and environmental way either through treatment, recycling or re-use. The successful organisation will provide 240 L bins on sites at fixed and firm unit costs per wheeled bin throughout the term of the agreement.
