Tender description

The Framework Agreement is for the provision of domiciliary care services for adults, children and young people. This contract will be available for use by Durham County Council on its own behalf and on behalf of North Durham and Durham Dales Easington and Sedgefield Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s). It is not anticipated that CCG’s will use the contract from inception, though the intention is that care packages required by CCG’s will be included within the first year of the agreement. This will be confirmed in writing to providers before call-off of CCG packages commences. This procurement is issued under an open tender process in line with Public Contracts Regulation 2015. Durham County Council currently purchases domiciliary care under Framework Agreements (awarded in 2014 and referred to as the “Existing Frameworks”) allocated across ten geographical demand zones within County Durham. This framework model of procurement will continue from 1.4.2019, with this new Framework Agreements (“New Frameworks”) being established allowing for individual contracts to be awarded under a call-off arrangement to organisations within each Demand Zone/Lot for the provision of domiciliary services for adults, children and young people (details of the specification and the Demand Zone/Lots are detailed in the Invitation to Tender documents available on the NEPO Procontract Portal with reference DN380600.) This procurement is issued under an open tender process in line with Public Contracts Regulation 2015.
