Tender description
The contracts for provision of Young People's supported Housing Pathway will be awarded in 2 lots: Lot 2: Visiting Support; Lot 3: Housing First. The contracts shall run for a period of three (3) years with option to extend for a further period of three (3) years in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The Pathway will consist of services offering a range of support levels and types that offer young people a personalised pathway away from homelessness, that builds on their strengths and aspirations for the future. This service will deliver the Universal Visiting Support element of the Young People’s Supported Housing Pathway, which will be available for all homeless young people aged 16-25 years old, with a maximum length of stay of 18 months. The visiting support service will be delivered across a number of dispersed buildings. The buildings should ideally have communal areas. The universal visiting support units will be delivered across multiple buildings, which may be managed by different providers. The provider will deliver the Housing First (support only) service within the Young People’s Supported Housing Pathway. This service will be available for all care leavers aged 16-25 years old. The support provided is open ended, in line with the Housing First Principles. The service will support 10 young people with active cases plus any dormant cases. The aim of the Housing First service is to support Care Leavers with complex and multiple needs to sustain their tenancies, prevent repeat homelessness and improve their health and wellbeing. Care leavers will be provided with independent accommodation through the young adults service’s social housing quota. Alongside this, the young person will receive intensive, open-ended, wraparound, personalised support from the Housing First provider. This support is free from conditions apart from the willingness to sustain a tenancy.
