Tender description

The Council’s Highways, Grounds and Street Services (the “Service”) are responsible for the management of grounds maintenance, grass cutting and additional horticultural activities on trunk roads, county and rural roads within urban areas in the County of Powys The service currently manages: — 153 hectares of municipal grass areas including play areas, housing estates, corporate buildings, libraries, etc., — 19 cemeteries, — 96 hectares of county urban verges in towns and villages, — 4 hectares of shrub beds, — over 4 600 km of county rural highways verges, and — 134 Roadside Verge Nature Reserves (RVNR’s). This tender opportunity is split into 2 main lots: — Lot 1: Cemeteries, — Lot 2: Urban Verges. Further details of the sub-lotting, including the maximum number of lots that may be awarded to one tenderer, can be found in the tender documents. This lot is for providing grounds maintenance services within each cemetery site included in this tender, and is split into 17 sub-lots. The scope of the service will include 14 cuts per year and further details can be found in the tender documents. Tenderers can bid on any number of sub-lots but may only be awarded a maximum of 8 sub-lots. This lot is for the provision of grounds maintenance services on Urban verges in Powys, Mid Wales. This lot is split into 7 sub-lots and tenderers can bid on any number of sub-lots but may only be awarded a maximum of 4 sub-lots.
