Tender description
UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SMEs, system designers and manufacturers of equipment for a Tritium Plant within the new H3AT Facility, to process tritium-bearing gaseous and liquid mixtures. Where possible, we seek to maximum use of commercially available, “off the shelf” products. The Facility is a tool of the H3AT Project, which missions are: — supporting delivery of fusion as a commercial power source, — promoting industry, academia and research companies for work related to handling tritium and other radioactive isotopes, — providing capability for training of next generation of scientists and engineers for development of new power sources. UKAEA intend, after the engagement exercise, to issue tenders through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) to procure Systems through several competitively tendered contracts.
