Tender description

The Department for Education (DfE) is looking to procure a framework agreement for the supply, installation and delivery of furniture, and fittings. It is envisaged that the framework agreement will have 3 to 5 suppliers of all items listed below. The framework will be available to all educational establishments from Primary through to Further Education, and Special Educational Needs provision. The framework agreement will primarily be used for all centrally funded Free Schools and Priority School Building Programme capital projects but all schools will be encouraged to call off from this agreement. The DfE is looking for 3 to 5 suppliers who can supply, install and deliver furniture for schools including but not limited to; A range of tables including those suitable for a range of practical activities. A range of seating including stools for practical environments and chairs which are suitable for teaching, office and social environments. A range of loose and fitted storage with shelves or trays Laboratory serviced pedestals containing a range of services (services supplied by others) Fitted benching in both laminated core material and solid laminate with a supporting structure of varying heights A range of shelving suitable for both classroom and storeroom use. The framework will be for a total of 48 months. Estimated value: £40- 60 million over 48 months. It is envisaged that the OJEU advert will be placed in May 2019 under a restricted procedure. START AND END DATES OF THE CONTRACT: October 2019- October 2023 In issuing this notice and seeking to engage with the market, the DfE makes no commitment to undertake this procurement. Non-participation by economic operators in any market engagement will not be taken into account in any future procurement activities and will not preclude and/or prejudice any economic operator from bidding.
