Summary of the work NHAIS cervical screening Call/Recall system, written in Cache v5 under HP-UX, including: - Assimilate business and current system implementation knowledge of Cervical screening system to support, maintain, develop the system; - Create/run queries to interrogate the system; - Implement changes via Change Requests; - 3rd line support/maintenance for existing system. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 13 months with option to extend subject to Buyer request. Latest start date Tuesday 30 April 2019 Maximum Day Rate £720 Who Speclialist Work With Primarily with NHS Digital Exeter based resources. However also with programme resources based in Leeds and external stakeholders such as NHSE and PHE. What Specialists Work On To work with NHS Digital Exeter based resources to assimilate the business and current system implementation knowledge of the NHAIS cervical screening Call/Recall system in order to be able to support, maintain and develop the system. This is a specialist requirement to support requiring knowledge of Cache v5 running under HP-UX Skills & Experience • Minimum 5 years of experience of Cache version 5 running under HP-UX • Experience of working within the NHS or the healthcare industry • Proven track record of assimilating technical and business knowledge of a complex IT system Nice to Haves • Experience of Coding using Serenji Editor • Experience of VC-M (version control) • Experience of JIRA • Experience of Confluence Work Location NHS Digital, Hembury House, Pynes Hill, Rydon Lane, Exeter, EX2 5SE Working Arrangments We are looking for someone who will work collaboratively with the existing team. There is significant domain and system implementation knowledge that this individual will need to acquire. Therefore, we would like the individual to work on-site alongside the Exeter based technical team in order to gain the relevant knowledge. Once the individual was up to speed this could be reviewed but even then we envisage the individual to be on-site in Exeter for a minimum of 3 days/week. Security Clearance Security Clearance is required for this role due to potential for access to PID. Additional T&Cs NHS Digital Supplementary Terms and Conditions. Can the Authority confirm if an incumbent is currently occupying this role and if they will be invited to apply via DOS? There is no external incumbent. The NHS Digital team currently support, maintain and develop this system. This role is to work alongside the current team. 2. Please can you provide some additional information regarding timescales, specifically when do you anticipate that shortlisting will take place, when do you plan for interviews to be held and when are you looking to award contracts? Shortlisting will commence from w/c 1st April, and shortlisted suppliers will be notified by 12th April. We would like interviews to take place during w/c 23rd April. As part of the assessment, there will be a written test around Cache/Mumps. 3. Does the rate stated exclude VAT? The stated maximum rate is exclusive of VAT. 4. Can we ask if this is a duplicate to the post with reference number – 9294 as it seems to be the same content. Or are you trying to resource more than one Cache Developer? These are two separate but related opportunities. 5. will you support the person in getting SC clearance if he doesn't already hold valid SC clearance or would you only entertain candidates having valid SC clearance in hand? As this assignment relates to Patient Data, work on this SOW cannot commence before SC is in place. We will accept candidates who do not currently have Security Clearance, but are willing to undertake Security Clearance before commencing the assignment. Please note however, that the data a candidate is able to commence may be a factor during the evaluation process.
